Kinky Cupid – Coming Soon

Hi Everyone,

Some of you will already be familiar with the Kinky Cupid Series. It’s what I like to refer to as my Frankenstein series. It’s been through the wars. Three different publishers, three different cover styles. The order of the books have changed twice and at various times only the second or fourth books have been available. Release dates have been pushed back several times too.

But, over the next nine months I am going to get it all finished, and it will all be available – nice and neat and in order as an indi series.

I have the rights to all the existing titles back, I’ve written the missing title, I’m working on the final re-working, and I have new cover art by the fantabulous Kris Norris.

The first book – Once a Brat – was originally published by Riptide Publishing. A new edition will be released in November 2018. I don’t plan to change the text at all. This is the new cover…

The second book in the series – Bast Over Apex – originally came out with All Romance Ebooks under the title Call Me Sir, Boy! as part of their Perfect Strangers Collection. I got the rights back quite a while ago and the indi edition is already out, as is the audio version. The text was tweaked and re-edited to fit the Kinky Cupid series, but not substantially changed. The third title in the series is called Sticks and Stones. It’s completely new. I’ve only just finished writing it and it will be going off to editorial this week. For those of you who have read some of the other titles in the series, this is Dan the bartender’s story and he’s paired with a new character to the series. It will be released in February 2019.

And, last but not least, the fourth story in the series is All the Gear. It was originally released under the title All the Gear, No Idea, by All Romance Ebooks as another part of their Perfect Stranger Collection. This one may well end up being re-written from scratch. There is so much I want to change, it will probably be easier to do that than to edit the existing story. The same characters will find their happy ending, but the way they get there might change quite a bit. So far the only thing that’s certain is the cover!

And that will be the series complete!

Before that series, I have another new title – Straight to Hell – in a new collection – Hearts and Handcuffs. More about that to come in another post 🙂

The Next Six Months

November  2015

Two stories coming out this November.

Celebrate is a short story that catches up with Ori and Raynard from Duck! and which takes place in between Duck! and Magpie. It’s about 9,000 words long. It will make no sense if you haven’t read Duck!

Magpie is a 80,000 word novel. It was previously released by Resplendence Publishing. This is the second/indi edition. It’s been re-polished but the plot has not changed. I don’t think it is necessary to buy the new edition if you have the first one – unless you want to, of course, in which case go ahead 🙂

I really love the covers for this series! Like all the other covers here, they’re by the fantastic Kris Norris from Round Table Author Services.

     

December 2015

December sees a re-release of a short story called Hot in Here. It’s a follow up to Time To Do (published by Pride – formally known as Totally Bound) and catches up with Rigby and Brennan as their relationship progresses, and won’t make any sense unless you’ve read that book. It’s free 🙂

January 2016

Another free story re-release. This time we’ll be catching up with Tristan and Cody from Gay Like You (again published by Pride/Totally Bound. Once more, the follow up will make no sense unless you’ve read the original story.

February 2016

Finally something completely new! Sticks and Stones is the next story in the Kinky Cupid series. The main characters in this one are Dan – the bartender we met very briefly in Base Over Apex – and a new character.

Some bits might make more sense if you’ve read the previous books in the series (Once a Brat and Base Over Apex).

Base Over Apex is getting a new cover to match the new series theme, but the content isn’t changing.

     

March 2016

We’re back to re-releases of free short stories now. This one is Anything in a Skirt. It catches up with Baxter and Spencer from Gay Until Graduation. It will make much more sense if you’ve read that book.

April 2016

One more free short story re-release. This one is a stand alone, so no need to have read anything else first. It’s called Two Twinks and a Truck.

And that is as far as certainty takes me.

There are a few different options for what will come out in May. A lot depends on energy levels and what-not. Hopefully it will be something people will like 🙂

In case you’re wondering if there is a method to my madness, the free short stories are intended to fill in those months where nothing new or of any real length comes out.

Avian Shifters – Release Scheule and Cover Reveal

Hi everyone!

I have news on the Avian Shifters series. It’s about a year later than I intended to be able to announce these release dates but never mind, lol.

First the follow up novellas I spoke about before. The bad news is that they didn’t work out as hoped. Raynard had to make certain mistakes in order for the plot of the first follow up novella to work, but he’s stubbornly refused to do that. The good news is that the follow up novellas will be replaced with follow up short stories – and those stories will be free. Free is always cool, right?

On to the novels!

They’ll come out in e-book and print and the e-book version will be released through Amazon, All Romance Ebooks, Barnes & Noble and iTunes. The plan is to upload each one for pre-order about two weeks before the actual release day.

Duck! has been polished, edited and proofed. I’m going through the proofs now. It will go off to file conversion in a day or two.

Duck! will be released in August 2015.

Magpie is being polished at the moment. It has a few more processes left to go through yet.

Magpie should be released in November 2015.

It has a fantastic new cover too!

And, the last book that’s part of this announcement, but certainly not least…

Albatross hasn’t been written yet, but it has been plotted out.

Albatross has a tentative release date of May 2016.

I already have a wonderful cover for it.

July Newsletter – Mostly Randomness

Hi Everyone 🙂

Yesterday marked 7 years since my first e-book was accepted for publication. That book was Turquoise and Leather.

It seems like a long time ago and like yesterday at the same time. The industry has changed so much in that time. I think my writing has changed a fair bit too – hopefully for the better, lol.

Next bit of news. I have a cover for Seeking Something – the sixth and final book in the Sun, Sea and Submission series with Resplendence Publishing.

This book will release early August. It will be e-book number 101 for me.

I’m still working on my edit of Duck! I’m over half way through and hope to finish it by my birthday in the middle of July. It will then go off to proofing etc. Cover art is happening too.

At this point it seems unlikely there will be a follow up novella. As much as I like the idea, I don’t think it will really appeal to many readers or work that well as a story.

Instead I’ll probably get straight on to the edit of Magpie.

As far as release dates go, I’m aiming for Duck! to re-release in September. If the stars all align perfectly, it could be moved forward to August, but September is far more likely.

My attempts at improving my writing output by decreasing my anxiety levels and generally improving my mental health are continuing. I’ve started a blog where I’ll be charting my efforts in some sort of fashion. http://www.hugsandcwtches.wordpress.com

You’re welcome to come and say hi there if you want to. There won’t be many, if any, posts about writing. It’s a very new blog. It’s all sequins and colouring at the moment as I try to record the point I’ve reached so far.

(If you’re wondering, a cwtch is Welsh for a cuddle. It’s one of my favourite Welsh words.)

I did have a vague idea that I’d do that blog completely incognito, but my ability to compartmentalise my life is non-existant. I don’t have an on-line identity apart from my author one and I’m not looking to add complications to my life, lol.

New Cover Art – Please read so you don’t accidentally re-buy without need!

Hi everyone!

The print version of FIT Guys Volume 1 has been finalised. The print proof is currently winging its way to me.

The cover is gorgeous. Once I saw it I couldn’t resist getting new e-book covers made for the series.

Over the next week or so, you’ll see the new covers rolling out over the various sales outlets. Now here’s the bit I’m slightly concerned about. The text hasn’t changed. So – if you bought it with the old cover, please don’t re-buy it. You should be able to just download a new copy from wherever you originally purchased, if you want your copy to have the new artwork on it. (If this raises a problem, please let me know.)

Fingers crossed no one will see the new cover and think it’s a new book without realising they have already got it. If this happens to you, send me an e-mail. Maybe we can work something out 🙂

The series will also appear on Barnes & Noble / Nook and iTunes for the first time.

All Romance E-books and iTunes will also have the follow up short stories available for free. Tony’s Move has only been available to read on a blog until now, so if you have the others you might want to keep an eye out for that one 🙂
